Coordination Framework Confirmed Keenness on Completing Constitutional Institutions

The head of the State of Law parliamentary bloc congratulated Ali Al-Zaidi on his appointment to form the next government.

Al-Maliki affirmed in an official statement "his support for Al-Zaidi in his national mission to form a competent, honest, and effective government team capable of facing looming challenges and seizing available opportunities for the country."

He added that "the leaders of the Coordination Framework have demonstrated their keenness on completing the formation of the three presidencies in harmony with the supreme interests of the country," noting that "this position deserves praise, asking God to guide everyone's steps toward goodness and righteousness."

The Coordination Framework had officially nominated Ali Al-Zaidi for the premiership, and the President of the Republic tasked him with forming the government.

Al-Zaidi pledged in his first speech following his appointment that "addressing the surrounding internal and external challenges will be among the priorities of his upcoming work," noting that "his program relies on making Iraq a balanced country regionally and internationally."
