U.S. Treasury Expands Sanctions on Iranian Missile and Drone Supply Networks
The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced on Tuesday (April 21, 2026) the imposition of new sanctions on 14 individuals, entities, and aircraft in Iran, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates, accusing them of involvement in supplying the Iranian regime with weapons and components for ballistic missiles and drones. The ministry explained in its statement that these measures come within the framework of the "Economic Fury" campaign launched by the Trump administration, aiming to prevent Iran from rebuilding its missile capabilities after the U.S.-Israeli strikes. The sanctions included companies working in importing and exporting chemical materials used in missile propulsion, as well as individuals linked to the Iranian company "Pardisan," which was previously targeted by U.S. sanctions in December 2025. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent emphasized that his department will continue to "follow the money" and target the "reckless" elements of the Iranian regime and those who enable them.
