Tehran Values Russian Support.. Confirms Continued Strategic Engagement with Moscow
The Iranian Foreign Minister announced his country's appreciation of Russian support for the diplomatic track regarding the current crisis and negotiations with the United States, confirming continued engagement with Moscow.
The minister stated in a social media post following his visit to Russia and meeting with the Russian President in Saint Petersburg: "We welcome Russia's support for the diplomatic track."
He added: "Amid major and fateful transformations witnessed by the region, our engagement with Russia continues, thankfully, at the highest levels."
He continued: "Recent developments have demonstrated, in depth, the strength of our strategic partnership. As our relations expand, we appreciate the existing solidarity and welcome Russia's support for the diplomatic track."
Yesterday, the Russian President stated during his meeting with the Iranian minister that Russia will do everything in its power to bring peace to the Middle East as quickly as possible.
He also announced his readiness to do what is necessary to achieve a balance that serves the interests of Iran and the region.
For his part, the Russian Foreign Minister announced that his country's position on the conflict calls for halting all military operations and beginning work to reach an agreement.
This came after the Russian President's meeting with the Iranian minister yesterday, Monday, where he described the talks between the two sides as "useful."
