Inauguration of Oncology Hospital in Mosul Eases Patients' Suffering
The Ministry of Health inaugurated a hospital specializing in cancer treatment in Nineveh Governorate, in a step aimed at easing pressure on health centers in Baghdad. The hospital includes departments for chemotherapy and radiotherapy with modern equipment, in addition to advanced diagnostic laboratories. The Minister of Health affirmed that this project will enable patients to receive treatment without needing to travel to the capital, saving them effort and money. He also referred to plans to establish similar centers in other provinces, and provide cancer medications at subsidized prices. Residents see this hospital as the beginning of improved health services in liberated provinces. Patients and their families hope this project will be a model to emulate in the remaining provinces, especially given the urgent need for such specialized centers in the north. Medical staff at the new facility expressed optimism about providing world-class care, noting that the equipment meets international healthcare standards.
