Iraq: The Security of Neighboring Countries is a Red Line, and Investigations into Recent Attacks are Underway
The Iraqi government affirmed its firm commitment to the security and stability of neighboring countries, stressing that compromising the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates is a red line. The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah al-Numan, announced that the joint committee investigating the recent attacks is working in high coordination with the two countries to gather and analyze evidence, confirming that the investigations are proceeding accurately and deeply without rushing to announce the results.
Al-Numan explained that the committee enjoys full powers and will present its final report to the public with complete transparency once it is completed, reiterating the Iraqi state's rejection of any use of its territory to attack neighboring countries. He stressed that the state will not tolerate any party proven to be involved in these acts and will take strict legal and military measures against them.
The military spokesman emphasized that confining weapons to the state represents a top security priority, pointing to the start of implementing a comprehensive field plan that includes enhancing intelligence efforts and redeploying military units to ensure security and stability. These statements follow Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi's condemnation of the attacks and his emphasis on the importance of joint cooperation to uncover the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
